Th 8200 series conversion steering gear is a direct replacement for the small piston delphi steering gear that was used on 97-02 Jeep TJ’, XJ's. This unit also features a larger piston diameter which increases the torque output of the steering gear. This extra torque is Jeeps to overcome steering issues due to larger tires and / or locking differentials have been installed. The 8200 series is assembled in Texas using all new components and featuring PSC’s exclusive new gear housing. This is not a reworked core housing as the competition uses, this is a 100% new housing that is casted and machined right here in the USA! The SG061 is also offered in a cylinder assist version (SG061R) for vehicles that have 38” + tire size and larger drivelines (Dana 60). PSC does recommend the following to maximize performance; High Volume power steering pump to maximize the torque of the steering gear. Pump Kit # PK1852 for Jeeps equipped with the 4.0.
