This 17 x 8.5-inch aluminum XHD wheel from Rugged Ridge has a black satin finish and a 5on5 bolt pattern.
Clearcoated wheels should be cleaned regularly using a soft, non-abrasive towel or brush along soap and water. Periodic application of a non-abrasive, non-carnauba sealant or high quality wax will help to resist brake dust and buildup of contamination on the wheel.
Once your wheels are clean and dry, apply a quality wheel protectant like Wheel Wax to seal the wheel surface. These products work just like car wax. Apply them with an applicator pad and then buff the wheel. They keep your wheels looking shiny, and they prevent brake dust adhesion. Your wheels look cleaner longer.
You have to reapply these products. Clean your wheels and Wax when they look dirty. You will notice that the time between cleanings increases as you continue to use Wheel Wax. If any other chemical, high pH soap or automatic car wash is used, then Wax should be applied again but it’s better than scrubbing your wheels every two days. The good news is, if you use a wax as recommended, water is the only thing you need to clean your wheels between waxings.
